The Superiority of the New

In today's sermon, Jesus addresses a concern that some in the crowd have over the fact that He and His disciples don't fast as often as others. Jesus answers their question, but then gets at something more important. Using three rather confusing illustrations, Jesus claims that His new way of doing things is better and superior to the old way of doing things in Judaism. Controversially, Jesus is claiming that His new way (the new covenant) is superior to the old covenant.
