Faith Bible Church exists to make, mature, and multiply disciples of Jesus Christ for the glory of God and the good of all people.
We are set apart to be sent out on mission to proclaim the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. We are a people who love Jesus and want to magnify His name above all names. And so we delight to glorify Jesus by telling others about Him.
God: We believe in the one true and living God, who is the Creator of the universe. God has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The perfectly holy, righteous, and good God is sovereign over all things and is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise.
Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is co-equal with the Father and Holy Spirit as God. We believe that He is truly God and truly human. We believe in His miraculous virgin birth, in His perfect, sinless life, in His authoritative teachings, and in His miracles. We believe that He suffered and died on the cross in order to atone for the sins of His people. We believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead and that He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. We believe that He will return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son as God. We believe that the Holy Spirit is at work in the world to convict people of their sin and to glorify Jesus. We believe that the Holy Spirit is sovereignly at work in salvation, giving unregenerate hearts the faith to receive Christ as Lord. We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in the hearts of genuine believers and enables them to live holy lives. We believe that the Spirit blesses each believer with spiritual gifts for the edification and building up of the church.
Scripture: We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. The Bible is the Word of God because it is God’s very words spoken through human authors. The Bible sufficiently reveals what God desires us to know about Him, humanity, the gospel, and all things required for life and godliness.
Humanity and Sin: We believe that God made man in His own image, and as a result, all people have intrinsic worth. We believe that all people are created with the purpose of glorifying God. We believe that through the sin of the first literal man, Adam, all of humanity has inherited a sinful nature which has alienated them from God. We believe that all of humanity is unrighteous, spiritually dead in their sin, and is deserving of God’s righteous judgment. We believe that man cannot save himself by his actions.
Election: We believe that God, before the foundation of the world, and for his own glory, elected a great host of men and women to eternal life as an act of free and sovereign grace. This election was in no way dependent upon his foresight of human faith, decision, works, or merit.
Salvation: We believe that salvation is a gift from God in which a person is forgiven of their sins and declared righteous before God. We believe that salvation is a gift given by grace through faith in Christ alone and His substitutionary death for His people on the cross. Though salvation is the work of God, we believe that a true believer will repent of their sins and profess Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe that salvation cannot be obtained by good works. We believe that all genuine believers who are saved will never ultimately lose their salvation because God will persevere them to the end.
The Return of Christ: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ shall come again to judge the living and the dead and to destroy Satan and death forever. We believe that those who are not believers will be condemned in the final judgment due to their sin and will be eternally separated from God in hell. Those who have been saved by grace through faith in Christ will enjoy everlasting life with God in the new heaven and new earth where there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain. We believe that God’s redeemed people from every tribe, language, people, and nation will have physical, resurrected bodies and will joyfully worship and glorify God for all of eternity.
